RIYADH - Saudi Pro League clubs spent a record $957m on new players in the 2023 summer transfer window, according to Deloitte’s Sports Business Group.
The Saudi Pro League transfer window closed on Thursday, September 7 after a summer that saw star players including Neymar, Karim Benzema and Sadio Mane move to the Kingdom.
Despite attracting iconic stars to the Kingdom, clubs missed out on the big names of Mohamad Salah, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi. For now at least.
